OPPO Find X10 Series Lands in India With 200MP Cameras

OPPO walked into the Indian market this week with a phone that packs three separate 200-megapixel cameras on its back and a price tag that starts well above what most flagship buyers here are used to paying. The Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max went official in India on October 22, and they're not subtle about who they're chasing: Samsung's Galaxy S Ultra line and Apple's top-end iPhones.

What's actually new this time

The headline spec is the camera system. Both phones carry a triple rear setup co-engineered with Hasselblad, the Swedish camera brand OPPO has partnered with for a few years now, and this generation bumps every lens up to 200 megapixels. The main sensor shoots at f/1.5 with what OPPO rates as 17EV of single-frame dynamic range — in plain terms, that's the camera's ability to hold onto detail in both the brightest and darkest parts of a scene without blowing out the sky or losing the shadows. The ultrawide lens gets a 124-degree field of view, and a 50MP front camera handles selfies.

The bigger engineering story, though, sits inside the Pro Max. It runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro, built on a 2nm manufacturing process — a reference to how small the transistors on the chip are, and smaller generally means better performance per watt of battery used. OPPO and MediaTek showcased this chip together at a Delhi event earlier this year, and the Pro Max is among the first phones anywhere to actually ship with it, ahead of several Chinese launches.

  • 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
  • IP66, IP68 and IP69 rated, meaning it's built to survive dust, submersion and even high-pressure water jets, not just the odd splash
  • 8,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging
  • Available in a dark blue and a Hasselblad-branded white finish on the Pro Max

The price Indian buyers actually have to deal with

The base Find X10 (12GB RAM, 256GB storage) is priced at Rs 1,39,999, with a 512GB variant at Rs 1,69,999. The Find X10 Pro Max, the one carrying the new MediaTek chip, comes in at roughly Rs 1,99,999. Sales open on October 29 through OPPO's own store, Flipkart and Amazon.

A near two-lakh-rupee Android phone isn't a mass-market product in India — it's a statement purchase, and OPPO knows it has to out-spec Samsung and Apple to justify asking for that kind of money.

That pricing puts OPPO squarely in India's thin but growing ultra-premium smartphone segment, competing directly with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Vivo's X-series flagships. It's a tough crowd: this slice of the market makes up a small fraction of India's phone sales by volume but accounts for a disproportionate share of revenue, and buyers here are already loyal to Samsung or Apple. OPPO's bet is that camera hardware this aggressive, paired with a chip no rival has yet, gives Indian reviewers and early adopters something concrete to talk about. We've seen OPPO play the volume game in India too — its F35 series launch earlier this month targeted the budget selfie-camera crowd at a fraction of this price, which tells you the company is running two very different playbooks in the same country at once.

Why this matters beyond the spec sheet

For Indian developers and camera-app ecosystem players, a 2nm chip landing in a mainstream retail product (rather than staying confined to review units and benchmarks) is worth watching, since it signals how fast that silicon moves from announcement to actual on-device performance Indian apps can target. And for everyday buyers, it's a reminder that India's premium phone shelf is no longer a two-horse race between Samsung and Apple; Chinese brands have the R&D budgets now to launch genuinely new silicon here first, before some of their home-market phones even ship.

Whether that technical edge translates into actual sales is a different question. Brand loyalty in the lakh-plus segment runs deep, and OPPO has tried this before without denting Samsung or Apple's grip. What's changed this time is that the gap in hardware between the challenger and the incumbents has gotten noticeably smaller.
